Password Protection

You can enable password protection on a directory so that the users have to type in a correct username and password to be allowed to view selected web pages. To see a demo of some of the many uses for the password protection feature, click on one of the links in the following examples. A message will prompt you to enter a user name and password. The user names and passwords are provided for you in the boxes below.

Example 1: Access for paying customers only.

Thanks Customer! With your monthly membership fee you get exclusive access to our online Web magazine. Use the following user name and password to access it:
user name: meg
password: str02

Example 2: Access for employees only.

Welcome to our company's Employee Home Page. Click here to enter.
user name: company
password: ceo32
